With the effort of generating the greatest quality of images possible, we have updated how the XRD functions. Once paired with your sensor the XRD will store your images and position data on its micro SD card. Once all images have transferred you will be able to upload them using our uploader through the Web Portal.
A new ability we've added is the option for future updates for your XRD's operating system to be installed using an SD card. This is handy for areas of low or no LTE coverage. These XRD updates are available on the XRD Update Procedure and Files page.
Alongside this shift in operations, we also made improvements in overall stability.
Improved GoPro connection stability
Improved image triggering consistency
GoPro image transferring/transferred message
Resume Image Transfer functionality
You are no longer required to wait for your all your images to transfer completely to the XRD before powering off your UAV. The XRD will now know where you left off in your transfer progress and will automatically resume on power up, so you may power down and resume your transfer at any time. Be aware that all the images must be completely transferred before your next flight.
If you cannot wait for the images to transfer, unplug the AgEagle, turn off the GoPro power and also turn off the WiFi on the GoPro.
Do NOT travel with the AgEagle on while driving. This will cause the autopilot to become confused and creates problems on the next flight.
Resume power to the AgEagle and GoPro.
Use the Botlink Android application to connect to the XRD.
