How to Upgrade DJI Aircraft
Upgrade dji remote controller
Download DJI Go from the Google Play Store
Connect to controller and enter camera view in DJI Go. Tap status message at top middle of screen to view available upgrades.
Upgrade process may take up to 20 minutes.
Upgrade DJI Inspire 1
Go to www.dji.com/inspire-1 and click "Downloads". Download the latest firmware ZIP file.
Unzip file and place the single .bin file onto a formatted SD card. Insert SD Card into Inspire 1 Camera and power on aircraft. Aircraft will begin beeping to confirm upgrade is in progress.
Wait until beeping pattern is D---D-D to confirm upgrade is complete.
Upgrade process may take up to 20 minutes.
Note: Upgrades may also be available for Intelligent Flight Battery. If you have multiple batteries, be sure to upgrade with all batteries to keep system up to date.
Upgrade DJI Phantom 4
Go to www.dji.com/phantom-4 and click "Downloads". Download the DJI Assistant 2 program and follow the installation process.
Open DJI Assistant 2 and Power on Phantom 4. Connect drone to computer and select your aircraft. Available upgrade will display for download.
Upgrade process may take up to 20 minutes.
Note: Upgrades are also available for Intelligent Flight Battery. If you have multiple batteries, be sure to connect to computer with all batteries to keep batteries upgraded.
Upgrade DJI Phantom 3 Professional
Go to www.dji.com/phantom-3 and click "Downloads". Download the latest firmware ZIP file.
Unzip file and place the single .bin file onto a formatted SD card. Insert SD Card into Phantom 3 Pro Camera and power on aircraft. Aircraft will begin beeping to confirm upgrade is in progress.
Wait until beeping pattern is D---D-D to confirm upgrade is complete.
Upgrade process may take up to 20 minutes.
